Madison Wisconsin

Madison

Madison is the location of our state capitol, located in the Four Lakes region of South-Central Wisconsin.  It has an estimated population of nearly 245,000, making it the second largest city in the state.  More than half of the city’spopulation is under 30 years of age, so it would be assumed that the University draws in many of the people who live there. Also interesting, Dane County Regional Airport in Madison has 21 operational airlines; over 800 domestic flights depart each week.

Wisconsin State Capitol is home to both chambers of the legislator, the office of State Governor Walker, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.  The building itself is an architectural masterpiece; the dome of the state capitol is made entirely of granite, and one of the largest granite domes in the entire world. Schedule a tour of the state capitol at Capitol Tour Reservations.  The capitol is beautifully situated between two well-known lakes in the area…Lake Mendota and Lake Monona.  Lake Link Fishing Reports
